Ayurveda is the Natural Medicine that originated in Ancient India alongside Yoga and by the Yogis themselves. These "seers" loved very closely with the rhythms of Nature and the Cosmos and applied these to healing themselves, documenting the results and passing this body of knowledge from generation to generation. This resulted in the "science of life", a deeply rooted and deeply spiritual wisdom that continues to support our health and wellbeing today, balancing our Body-Mind systems in the most practical of ways.
In this first of a series of workshops on Ayurveda to come, we wil learn to think Ayurvedically and play with its two main principles - the 5 Great Elements - Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth - and the 3 Doshas or constitutions - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Ayurveda views each person as unique and whole, so together, we will assess our very own personal balance as well as diagnose our imbalances so we can each begin to live a life of vibrant health, harmony and happiness.
