Is that you dear Warrior, I almost mistook you for a Maasai, rattling your bones like that.

I hope you have enjoyed the experience of connecting with your body, of shaking it, of feeling it come alive. How do you move in your life these days?

After all that talk about foundations and anchors into the earth, I now invite you to step into the second chakra, with its element of water and the qualities of fluidity and unctuousness. Tip toe in, if you like.

How radiant you are, dear Warrior.

In view of recent events across the Earth, let me honor the light in you that still awakes to face each day, not knowing what it will bring. The sacred flame of the male in you, the female, the marriage of the two that is the creative force, the inner child, the adolescent, the warrior, the lover as well as the elder, the spirit animal… each of the many aspects of your soul, I honor.

- Sufi Poet Rumi

Namaste dear Warrior—how are you? We shared so much around health together last article, I am just wondering how you are currently feeling? Are you vibrant or depleted? Energized or overwhelmed? Excited or anxious? There are so many variables in our modern lives that can shift our internal state dramatically within a split second. And those of us who have not had a solid, long history of healthy habits and lifestyle are particularly vulnerable to environmental influences pulling us away from our equilibrium, physically and mentally. And that, alongside the thousands of stimuli that assault our senses via the new gadgets designed to simplify our lives, leave us, in fact, drained and inefficient.

“Look deep into nature, and you will understand everything better”
- Albert Einstein

Blessings upon you dear Warrior. Blessings from the four cardinal points—North, South, East, and West. Blessings from the five elements of Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. May all of these aspects of Mother Nature rise to hold you in Her loving embrace so that you feel safe and comforted on your life’s path.

Since we last met, may you have taken deep rest under a stunning tree, or laid flat on fresh, green grass in fields of blossoming flowers. May you have found a way to nourish your body with wholesome foods, your senses with beauty in all its forms, and your soul with imagination, inspiration, and art.
Mother Nature is a very powerful partner on our healing journey, physically, psychologically, and spiritually. Just as she breathes life force into each blade of grass, weed, flower, shrub, or tree for it to grow as tall as it can, as strong as it can, and for it to blossom before it withers away and dies, she does the same for each of us man, woman, or child. We have the entire Creation’s fierce impulse both around us and within us, encouraging us to flourish into our best selves.

“Children, there is a rhythm to everything in the universe. The wind, the rain, the waves of the sea, the pattern of our breathing, our heartbeat – each has a rhythm all of its own. We must maintain this rhythm for our mental and physical health and longevity. Our thoughts and actions become the rhythm and melody of our lives. A perturbation in our thoughts will be reflected in our actions. This will subsequently upset the harmony in nature. This disturbance is one of the main causes for natural disasters like tsunamis, landslides and earthquakes.” – Mata Amritanandamayi Devi

Namaste dear Warrior, I bow to you as we gather once again to share stories along our journeys. Over time and the course of these articles, it has been my wish to inspire you with examples of creative projects that are today, impacting the future of our world.

You may have resonated with one already, or found your own, or you may still be searching for a call to strike a chord in your heart. Could it be the environment, animal rights, wildlife, health and welfare, schooling and education, oppressed people or cultures or nations, refugees, underprivileged children, or raising the level of consciousness within your own society? Fortunately or unfortunately, there is much work to be done, hence, you have infinite choice. Your service can take many forms. It may take over your life, or it may fit alongside your day job or family commitments. You may even decide to do something all together as a family or it may be a monetary contribution. Whatever it is, however it manifests, it will not only fulfil you with purpose and meaning, but benefit others too. As your self esteem grows, your energy levels will too. As a result of your new vibrancy, your social circle will also expand as you connect with others who share your passion and stimulate you spiritually, intellectually, creatively. And as you shine your light, you show the way for others to shine theirs too.

“If I only think of myself as ‘I am a Tibetan’ or ‘I am Buddhist’, that in itself creates a kind of distance. So I say to myself: Forget that, I am a human being, one of the 7 billion human beings”.
-The 14th Dalai Lama in an interview for The Big Issue Magazine

New Year blessings to you dear Warrior…to you and your loved ones, loved ones close, loved ones more distant, loved ones embodied, loved ones disembodied, loved ones known, loved ones yet to meet. May this year fill your days and relationships with the power of Love.

We seem to cover some territory, you and me, dear Warrior. Last we met, we travelled to Peru, to the charming little Q’ewar Social Project close to Machu Picchu. Today, I am taking you on a new adventure, to a very different land…from one natural wonder of the world to another. This one is in the shape of an immense rock formation that stands in the middle of the desert, nearly 350 metres above the ground and extends even further below the earth. At sunset, its magic is most visible to the naked eye as it changes color from red to orange to purple.

WarriorsInTheAndesThe Divine spark in me greets and bows to the Divine spark in you, dear Warrior. Let me begin by paying my respects. You have worked so hard, fought so long to be here now. You have awakened many dormant parts in you, discriminated between ‘fear’ and ‘love’, between ‘doing’ and ‘being’, between accepting your imprisonment and healing it.

You and I have often referred to the superhuman qualities of the great people who have walked this Earth before us, and whose presence by our side still inspires, guides, and celebrates each of our baby steps in making this world a more wholesome place. We have stressed the importance of honoring and preserving the wisdom of our indigenous cultures. And in so doing, generating the heart space and the humility to learn from the rich tapestry of their traditions, uniting the soul with the body. Today, in Peru, there are yet another two humble people who listened to their inspiration and followed their heart to create the Q’ewar Social Project: a living example of the spiritual meeting the material. This is the home of beautiful handcrafted dolls, doll clothing, and other traditional Peruvian artifacts.

She is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”

– Arundhati Roy

goddess4Hello again dear Warrior, how are you traveling? More to the point, how is your inner child traveling? For he or she would have wanted to share something of their experience after we discussed in our last article the role of early childhood education and its impact in shaping our psyche. And we talked about our fears, individual and collective, and the need to overcome them with Love so that we may align ourselves with our highest purpose.

Yet the very word “purpose” can be confusing in this current spiritual revolution. When we ponder how we are to contribute to this Earth, we often think in terms of what we are to do, not how we are to be. For ‘doing’ or performing things outwardly has been the way for many thousands of years, and much of our self worth has depended upon it. Now, the Divine Feminine is reversing that, insisting that our inner world needs to change first for Her Earth to be transformed. Today, “doing” is only going to cause us to lose our footing, for we must re-learn the art of “being”.

- By Natalia Perera

“Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility—these three forces are the very nerve of education.”
― Rudolf Steiner

Oh Warrior…it’s you. Nice to meet you again. You are looking rather frazzled. Are you here catching your breath? Take rest, take food—whatever you may need in order to regain your strength. Have you been out in the world making too much love or too much war? Because last time we met, we explored together the dharma of great souls like Che Guevara and Arjuna, innately talented and well trained to fight as warriors on battlefields.

Both had to transform themselves, make peace with making war, and from there, transform the world. Is there something you need to make peace with? What are your natural gifts? What have you been trained in? These are all key questions leading us to a pivotal point in your life: What is your unique dharma?

- By Natalia Perera

“Peace is not the opposite of war. We can have peace in our heart even in the midst of our fiercest battles, because we are fighting for our dreams. When our friends have lost hope, the peace of the Good Fight helps us to carry on.”

– Paulo Coelho’s Like the Flowing River

In our current world affairs, and even in our personal lives, there is much violence. How does this reflect our consciousness as an individual as well as a collective? But let me also ask: how do we relate to others, or to ourselves and address the needs of our bodies and psyches? With neglect? Or do we push ourselves beyond our limits, not listening, not accepting, instead striving to gain maximum approval from our lover, our boss, our peers. An intention behind which, is a big statement in the world: “I am not enough, I am not loved therefore I need to get as much love as possible from outside of myself”, a behaviour of a poverty-conscious person.

- By Natalia Perera

“Let me say at the risk of seeming ridiculous that the true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality…”

– Che Guevara

Welcome dear Warrior, take rest, this is your safe space, a refuge for all Warriors of the Sacred to come together and be nourished.

You have sought meaning in your life, you have felt the pain of the world, you have heard the inner call to reclaim your body, your power, and are now preparing for your mission. We have already explored together the nature of this sacred journey, the steps vital for our personal evolution amidst the current spiritual revolution.

Many of us have worked hard on the premise that our inner development will result in the transformation of not only our outer lives, but the lives of our loved ones, of those in our immediate circle and eventually ripple out to those in the wider world. We have witnessed first-hand the results. But if we were asked to describe HOW this phenomenon actually works? How is it exactly that our inner reality creates our outer reality? We attempt to apply many energetic explanations such as ‘like attracts like’ but if we were to probe deeper and continue to ask: why does like attract like? HOW does like attract like? We will eventually reach this final conclusion: there is no “out there”, that we are all, truly one with the rest of the world. And our bodies, home to our senses, are simply the instruments we are to operate to create our experience of life.

NurturingTheWarrior-yevgenianaybergIn our first ‘meeting’, we talked about the current Spiritual Revolution of the Divine Feminine that we are facing, and what it means to us both as individuals and as children of our Mother Earth. We talked about our tender initiation as Warriors of the Sacred. Then the road ahead that has two legs; the inner work that reclaims our bodies and our power, and the wise action in the world that is born of our creative force.

In this encounter, we continue our journey together, this time focusing on the first leg: the inner work, our intention being to nurture our Warriors to grow strong and courageous whilst remaining sensitive and compassionate. Their most fundamental soul food is their spiritual practice which results in true transformation of themselves as individuals and as a collective. That is, they find not only the unfailing connection to their source of inspiration and strength, but also deep conviction in that guidance to act on it. After all, these are the qualities which distinguish the Warrior of the Sacred apart from the spiritual seeker and the worldly activist.

“There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground”

– Sufi Poet Rumi

We are living during times where each day is filled with magic. There is a revolution taking place right now, whether we choose to acknowledge it or not, to work with it, or not. It is a revolution not like any other in history: it is one of the heart. Past revolutions have been easier to detect, to fight with, or against because the mind was able to clearly decipher their meanings. This one, however, is silent to the mind, spoken in code, to be understood only by the language of love, by selected souls chosen to rise and be people of the earth, Warriors of the Sacred for our Divine Mother Earth. This is a spiritual revolution.

And it is manifesting in many areas of our lives, bringing light where previously there has been darkness, speaking truth where previously we have deceived ourselves or others, destroying what was built on false beliefs such as greed, exploitation, selfishness, and fear. We can witness perfect examples of each one of these in failing relationships, collapsing financial systems, environmental disasters and personal health crisis; what we could get away with in the past no longer serves us. With increasing pressures on our psyche, we are forced to let go of our old ways and re-build a life based on integrity, truth and compassion.

Awakening the Healer Within

shivambushastraWe are in a very magical era: all around us, in many ways, we are witnessing the connection between the East and the West, the ancient and the modern, spirituality and science. Modern scientific research is linking its most recent discoveries in the field of quantum physics and vibrational healing methods with ancient spiritual ideas. We are so truly fortunate to be living in such an exciting time, and watch in awe, this process of life unfolding before our very eyes.

One such powerful practice for healing that continues to flourish today is Shivambu Shastra, respected for thousands of years as the “Mother of Ayurvedic Medicine” or Amaroli (Amara in Sanskrit means immortal) in Yoga and commonly known as “Self Urine Therapy”. Shivambu literally means “Water of Shiva”, referring to the auspiciousness of the practice. Its “method of drinking urine for rejuvenation” is outlined in the Shivambu Kalpa Vidhi, part of a 5000-year-old document called the Damar Tantra, linking this practice back to the Vedas, the sacred Hindu texts, and to the practice of Tantra. Tantra is a Sanskrit term which includes the roots Tanoti (expansion) and Trayati (liberation); referring to the path that expands the mind or consciousness and liberates one from the cycle of birth and death.
